Callide Community Sponsorship Program
DP Energy is proud to support local communities while the Callide Wind Farm project is still in development.
Through the Callide Community Sponsorship Program, we provide up to $50,000 per year during the development phase to support community events, local initiatives and grassroots projects across the Banana Shire and surrounding region.
This early support reflects our commitment to working alongside the community – not just when construction begins, but from the very start of the project journey.
What the program supports
Funding may be available for a wide range of community-led activities, including:
- Community events and festivals
- Local school and education initiatives
- Sporting clubs and junior development
- Community groups and not-for-profit projects
- Agricultural shows and regional showcases
We aim to prioritise initiatives that are locally based, community-focused, and deliver a positive benefit for the region.
Community sponsorships so far
Since launching community sponsorships, the Callide Wind Farm project has been pleased to support a growing number of community events and initiatives, including:
- Callide Dawson Beef Carcase Competition (Platinum sponsorship and award support)
- Biloela Centenary celebrations (community event sponsorship)
- Biloela State School (education initiatives and events)
- The Callide Valley Show – Annual Agricultural Show (ongoing event sponsorship)
- Banana Shire Council initiatives (including Brigalow Arts Festival)
- Rotary Club events and community projects (including Biloela Christmas Festival)
These sponsorships are part of our broader commitment to being a positive contributor to the region as the project progresses toward construction.
